Camps

Our students have the opportunity to take part in two camps during their first year at UWC Atlantic.

IB1 Orientation Camp:

We welcome all new first-year students to the college through our orientation camp. Here students get to experience life in and around the college through outdoor education. Students complete a range of activities led by staff and our previous first-year Outdoor Skills students, focused on developing Cynefin (sense of place and deep belonging), connecting with peers, community and the local area. The activities are also designed to develop resilience, teamwork and leadership skills.

Pembroke Summer Camp:

The school moves to Pembrokeshire for the week! Students get to explore the coast and waters of Pembrokeshire through coasteering, walking and exploring. This camp takes place just before the end of the students' first year at UWC Atlantic. It allows them to take part in activities to celebrate and reflect on the year, while also enabling them to look forward to how they would like to develop as second-year students.
