Creativity, Service and Action

Inspired by our founder, Kurt Hahn, who believed that some of life's most important lessons are learned beyond the classroom, Creativity, Activity, Service (CAS) is at the heart of the UWC Atlantic experience.

As one of the three core elements of the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme, CAS encourages students to challenge themselves through creative pursuits, physical activity and meaningful service to others. Alongside their academic studies, students develop leadership, resilience, compassion and a lifelong commitment to making a positive difference.

With an exceptional range of opportunities both on and off campus, every student can explore their passions, discover new talents and create experiences that have a lasting impact.

At AC, I’ve pushed myself in ways I never imagined. I climbed Y Wyddfa (Snowdon), the highest mountain in Wales and joined Atlantic Pacific, where I trained in sea rescue - despite not knowing how to swim before I arrived. These challenges helped me grow more confident and resilient.
